Eighteen months ago, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) funded a grinding mill project in the village of Merca, located in the Zambezia Province of Mozambique. "The grinding mill has been working every day and serving many communities; however, the most important thing has been the impact that this project is producing for the glory of God and the building of His Kingdom," stated Rev. Trino Jara, coordinator for NCM-Africa. Before the opening of the grinding mill, there were 21 Nazarene churches in the area. Today there are 31 active churches and preaching points. The church expansion is attributed to the combination of ministry opportunities at the mill site, and evangelistic outreach through showings of the JESUS Film.
